Professional Web Design
If your website looks awful, cold leads won't trust you. A website reflects your business's image and the perceived quality of your products and services. A poorly designed website will not only fail to generate leads but will also drive your customers to your competitors. Everything we do is about helping our clients stand out, using a research-based approach to web design. We focus on guiding your customers toward the specific actions you want them to take.
Why Web Design Matters
Chances are your business isn't unique. You have competitors, and there are hundreds of companies fighting for the same work. When someone lands on your site, they're a high-intent buyer. Our job is to make sure the website seals the deal. Here's how we help the businesses we work with:
- Perceived Professionalism
- Reduce Buying Friction
- Conversion Rate Optimization
- Stand Out From Competitors
Perceived Professionalism
A website reflects your perceived business's professionalism. If you can't afford a decent site, what else are you underinvesting in? You wouldn't leave your storefront dirty and unwelcoming, that signals you don't take your business seriously, and customers feel that. The same goes for your website. Investing in a decent site shows you care about your customers, take pride in your business, and have the capacity to take on new work.
Reduces Buying Friction
A website doesn't guarantee the sale. It's more like a water heater, cold leads come in and warm leads come out. When your site speaks directly to your audience's pain points or asperations, you shorten sales cycles and filter out time-wasters before they ever pick up the phone. And since acquiring new customers, and more importantly your time, is the most expensive part of running any business, you should aim to attract the right customers from the start.
Conversion Rate Optimization
Every year, Facebook and Google Ads become more expensive, and it's never been more important to squeeze every dollar out of your ad spend. Good design directly improves your conversion rate, meaning you get more customers without spending more money. If you're at or below the industry average, stop pouring money into ads and fix your website first.
Stand Out From Competitors
When everyone looks the same, how do you stand out? What separates you from your competitors is exactly what your customers love about you and that's the message your website should be built around. Your website should double down on your core offer so it makes you the obvious choice.
What is good website design
In our opinion, what makes a website good is that it successfully completes the intended function it was designed for. In more concrete terms, this could mean generating more leads, making it easier for customers to find you, showcasing an amazing product, or help build credibility. If your site isn’t doing that for you, it’s probably time for a redesign. Some valuable questions to ask are:
- Am I reaching my target demographic?
- Is my brand values present in the messaging?
- Can people with disabilities easily access my website?
- Does my current site accurately reflect the quality of my services and professionalism?
- Is the design crisp and modern, or does it look old and outdated?
- Is it stupid obvious what you do?
- Are your images high quality, relevant and personable?
- Does your website have a clear user journey?
Our Design Process
After the initial call, we send out a questionnaire about you and your business. Please take the time to fill it out thoughtfully, as it will influence the final design. We conduct quick market research on your competitors in the geographical area to better understand how to position you and highlight any unique aspects of your business that may have been overlooked. We provide a Google Drive where you can upload any images or important content you want displayed on your site. Ideally, service-based businesses should provide a professional image of themselves.
Once we are satisfied that we have all the necessary requirements, we will begin designing your website in Figma. We will create one landing/home page in mobile, tablet, and desktop versions. We don’t spend design time on interior pages because research shows customers don’t care as long as the content answers their questions. After everything is approved and revisions are completed, we will begin developing your website.
